Process to Become a Great Black Speaker


The demand to join Great Black Speakers (over 100+ requests per month) is extremely high, therefore we have placed a cap on the number of speakers that we will accept for membership. If you feel like you have what it takes, please fill out this contact request form and indicate that you want to become a Great Black Speaker. An email will be automatically sent to you providing instructions on how to become a speaker with the bureau.

 

Please read this entire page to understand fully what Great Black Speakers can and can't do for you. It is important to note that GBS should be viewed as one of many outlets that you use to market yourself as a speaker. It is not a tool meant to be relied on solely for your marketing efforts. If you pre-qualify to apply for a GBS membership, the following pieces of information will be asked of you. It is important that you have all of the pieces before you apply. If you do not, consider joining Great Pro Speakers where we can work with you to make sure that you have everything that you need to be successful within the industry.

  • Biography and High-Resolution Photo (Example here)
  • Speech Topics and Categories (i.e. Motivation, Health, Personal Finance)
  • Recent Video of a speech given in the last 18 months.
  • Current Fee information
  • How many speeches you give per year and how many you would like to give.
  • Your Website URL
  • Evidence that you consistently market yourself within the industry and have the business infrastructure in place to build a successful speaking business

We no longer accept speaker packages in the mail. It is important in this day and age to have a massive digital footprint in order for your speaking career to thrive.

But What if I do not have all the Speaker info that you require?
If you don't have all of the information that GBS needs to process your application for membership, we can still work with you. We understand that people are at different stages in their speaking career. However, it is vital to have great marketing material for us to do our job properly. This is the main reason that we launched Great Pro Speakers. If your marketing materials are not sufficient, subscribing to the GPS course is the easiest and quickest way for us to feel comfortable marketing you through our network.
